A Shameless Plug

I know I haven't updated in a while, but it seems like I can't think of anything to write about! If you guys have any ideas, please tell me!

In the mean time, here's a video me and my friend helped shoot with MC Lars for the song "Guitar Hero Hero (Beating Guitar Hero Doesn't Make You Slash)" from his new album "THIS GIGANTIC ROBOT KILLS" (IN STORES NOW)!!

The lighting and the rock meter, that's all me baby!

I Deleted My Friends From Facebook and All I Got Was A Lousy Whopper...

Are you guilty of adding a few "friends" to Facebook that you don't know very well (that guy in your 10th grade english class who you borrowed a pencil from once)? Do you want to delete them but never have a good enough reason to delete them? Are you interested in a free Whopper? If you answered yes to all of these questions, Burger King has a Facebook Application for you!

http://www.whoppersacrifice.com/ gives a link to the "Whopper Sacrifice" Facebook Application, which puts your "web friendships to the test" by offering you a free Whopper. The catch is, you have to delete 10 people from Facebook to get it. Whats worse is the fact that these "Sacrifices" show up in your friends feed. Think of how your friends will compare you differently on Facebook's "Compare People" once they see that "(your name here)" has sacrificed "(deleted friends name)" for a free whopper. The downside is that you can't delete all your friends to live off of Whoppers for the rest of your life, becuase there is a limit to one coupon per Facebook account. This is a great tech savvy way to attract customers, but lets just hope it goes over better than Dr. Peppers Chinese Democracy Fiasco.

(Punk) Rockin' Around, The Christmas Tree

I love alternative Christmas songs, and if you are tired of hearing nothing but mall Christmas music i recommend checking out some of these Christmas songs/albums!

Albums:

Jimmy Eat World - The Christmas EP (Available on itunes) (2007)
PHOTO UNAVAILABLE
Contains their hit Wham! Cover of "Last Christmas" and the Original "If You Were Born Today".

Joey Ramone - Christmas Spirit...In My House EP (2001)

Joey Ramone's Christmas EP contains perhaps one of the best punk covers ever done, "What A Wonderful World" along with "Don't Worry About Me" and "
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)". A Great way to rock out while wrapping my Christmas presents!

The Vandals - Christmas With The Vandals: Oi to the World! (1996)Image:Christmas-with-the-Vandals-Cover.<span class=jpg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/04/Christmas-with-the-Vandals-Cover.jpg" width="300" border="0" height="300">

The Vandals have been around forever, and this CD basically sets the bare for alternative Christmas albums. With songs like "Grandpa's Last Christmas", "Christmas Time For My Penis", and "My First Christmas (As A Woman)" this is definitely NOT family sing along by the tree material, but that's what makes this CD so FUCKING rad!

Relient K - Let It Snow, Baby... Let it Reindeer (2007)
Image:<span class=Relient K - Let It Snow, Baby, Let It Reindeer.jpg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b8/Relient_K_-_Let_It_Snow%2C_Baby%2C_Let_It_Reindeer.jpg" border="0">
On the opposite end of the spectrum we have Relient K. These Christian Pop Punkers have assembled a nice collection of holiday tunes that even Jesus would crowd surf too. The CD contains a nice mix of traditional Christmas songs mixed in with some originals. Songs ranging from "Silver Bells" to "I'm Getting Nuttin' For Christmas" are mixed in with originals such as "Santa Clause is Thumbing to Town" and "I Hate Christmas Parties". If you want something to give your mom to play so she can finally put away that James Taylor Holiday CD, I suggest this!

MxPx - A Punk Rawk Christmas

While not an actual cd, Sort of Christian Punk Rockers MxPx release a new Christmas Song every year to their fan club. So far they are up to over 12 Christmas songs, and they have a new song to be released soon! Collect all 13!

A Santa Cause: It's A Punk Rock Christmas

This compilation of Alternative Christmas songs features bands ranging from blink-182 and New Found Glory to Saosin and the Mighty Mighty Bostones. This CD is essentially the "Greatest Hits" of Alternative Christmas Songs, and with the proceeds going to charity, please buy it and don't just download it. There is also a sequel, but I would get the first one first, and then see if you like any of the other bands on part 2.

Also All of the Kevin and Bean Christmas CD's are Golden!

Specific/Individual Songs:
blink-182 - I Won't Be Home For Christmas
New Found Glory - Ex Miss
Jimmy Eat World -Last Christmas
